Tonic 9: We All Want To Change The World

Indy’s most popular night of music and art – Tonic Ball and Tonic Gallery – returns Friday, November 19th in beautiful Fountain Square.  More than 30-plus local bands, along with 40-plus visual artists, will bring Beatlemania back to Indianapolis to benefit Second Helpings, Indianapolis’ premier hunger relief agency.

Tonic Ball 9 will feature more than 30 of Central Indiana’s top rock, folk, jazz, funk, country, and pop artists celebrating the songs of Beatles at Radio Radio, 1119 E. Prospect St. and  right next door at the Fountain Square Theater—all beginning at 7p.m. on Friday, November 19th. Local acts like Red Light Driver, Yoko Moment, Kate Lamont, Everything Now and many more.Tonic Ball 9 tickets are $20 and can be purchased at www.secondhelpings.org/tonicball.

The Tonic Gallery features works by more than 40 of the city’s most renowned visual artists—all for sale and available for as little as $100. Contributing artists include: Kyle Ragsdale, Casey Roberts, Mab Graves, Yasha Perrson, Josie Jeffries and Rob Day. Tonic Gallery will be held at New Day Meadery, Fountain Square, 1102 E. Prospect Street, 5-9pm on November 19th. Gallery admission is free.

“It’s been amazing to see how Tonic has grown over the last nine years.” Says Tonic Ball founder and Chairperson Ken Honeywell. “ When we started it, I’m not sure we ever envisioned it becoming the institution it’s become. But I have to say–it not only benefits a great cause, it’s a lot of fun. If I’d never been involved, Tonic would be my favorite event of the year.”

Last year, more than 1,000 people converged on Fountain Square to be part of the spectacle and collectively raised $45,000 to fight hunger. This year, Tonic Ball and Tonic Gallery are going to be bigger and better than ever, spilling out into the entire Fountain Square neighborhood! With a little help from our artist and musician friends, 100% of proceeds will go directly to Second Helpings’ core programs of hunger relief, culinary tob training and food rescue.

It’s the can’t-miss show of the season. Get your tickets for Tonic Ball today at Second Helpings today!
